Concerts
St Nicolas' Church is once again becoming a regular concert venue. Kings Norton's largest building with access for all is experiencing a renewal of the ancient heritage of performance in the nave.
We are blessed with "a warm acoustic ... and a warm building", (the Birmingham Post’s Christopher Morley). Various ensembles and their audiences have found that St Nicolas' offers just the right kind of responsive space for very different performances.
Quartets, small classical period orchestras, string ensembles and smaller symphony orchestras have all taken the stage along with choirs and solo recitalists.
To the warmth of the building we add an experienced warmth of welcome, a range of refreshments and other facilities.
St Nicolas' has hosted performances by the cellist Richard Tunnicliffe, the Le Page Ensemble, the Eroica Camerata, Birmingham University Music Society, Birmingham University Symphony Orchestra, Bournville Young Singers and Birmingham Icknield Male Voice Choir.
